The New 472 Area Code is Coming to the North Carolina 910 Area Code Region

To ensure a continuing supply of new telephone numbers, the North Carolina Utilities Commission has approved an all-services area code overlay for the 910 area code region, which serves southeastern North Carolina including the cities of Fayetteville, Jacksonville, Lumberton, Wilmington, and the military installation of Fort Bragg, within the counties of Cumberland, Onslow, Robeson, and New Hanover. This federal program provides a discount of up to $30 on the internet bills for households that meet certain income eligibility requirements.

A household is eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program if one member of the household:
