Randolph Communications to Participate in Emergency Broadband Benefit Program

Asheboro, NC - Randolph Communications will be participating in the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program, which is a Federal Communications Commission program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills to help support qualifying low-income households having difficulty paying for internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Emergency Broadband Program is expected to begin enrollment on May 12th and will provide a temporary discount of up to $50 per month on internet bills for households that meet certain income eligibility requirements. The program will end when the fund runs out of money, or six months after the Department of Health and Human Services declares an end to the COVID-19 health emergency, whichever is sooner.
A household is eligible for the Emergency Broadband Benefit program if one member of the household meets one of the criteria below:
